About Eid
Each Eid begins with a special congregational prayer in the morning, and takbirs are said before it. On Eid al-Fitr Muslims give zakat al-fitr to the poor before the prayer, and on Eid al-Adha many offer a sacrifice and share its meat. Families visit each other, exchange greetings and wear their best clothes.
