About Takbir
The first takbir of the prayer, called takbirat al-ihram, marks the start of salah. Takbirs are also said when moving between positions in prayer, and in the days of Eid and the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah. It is one of the most frequently repeated phrases in Muslim life.
