About Ramadan
Ramadan is the month in which the Quran began to be revealed, so it is a time of increased recitation, prayer and charity. Muslims pray tarawih at night, seek Laylat al-Qadr in its last ten nights, and end the month with Eid al-Fitr. Its start and end are set by sighting the new moon or by calculation, depending on the country.
