About Tajweed

Tajweed covers the points of articulation of letters, their qualities, and rules such as elongation, merging and stopping. Its aim is to protect the words of the Quran from mispronunciation. Students traditionally learn it by listening to a teacher and repeating, and by practising with a reciter's audio.
