About Qira'at

The ten well-known qira'at differ in small points of pronunciation and sometimes in a word, and they all agree on the same text. The reading of Hafs from Asim is the most widespread today, while that of Warsh from Nafi is common in North and West Africa. The differences are part of how the Quran has been preserved.
