About Sabr
Sabr is mentioned in the Quran in very many places, and scholars speak of three kinds: patience in obeying God, patience in avoiding what He forbids, and patience with hardship. It does not mean giving up effort, but facing difficulty with trust and calm. It is often paired with shukr in teaching about the believer's states.
