About Janazah
The janazah prayer is a communal obligation: if enough people perform it, the duty is fulfilled for everyone. It is prayed standing, with four takbirs, and without bowing or prostration, and it includes supplication for the deceased. Visiting the family and consoling them are also encouraged.
