About Surah
Surahs vary greatly in length, from the 286 verses of Al-Baqarah to the three verses of Al-Kawthar. They are arranged in the standard order of the Mushaf, which is not the order of revelation. Almost every surah begins with the basmalah, and Surah At-Tawbah is the one that does not.
