About Barakah

Barakah is not the same as quantity: a small amount of wealth or time can have barakah and a large amount can lack it. Muslims ask for it in their food, family and work, and the Quran describes places and times, like Makkah and the night of the Quran, as blessed. Lawful earnings and good intentions are said by scholars to be among its causes.
