Whether you're traveling, moving to a new city, or simply looking for the nearest masjid for Jumu'ah (Friday prayer), our Mosques Near Me tool helps you find every registered masjid in your area on an interactive map. The map is powered by OpenStreetMap, a free, community-maintained geographic database with comprehensive worldwide coverage — including small neighborhood mosques that may not appear on commercial maps.
The masjid (mosque) is the spiritual, educational, and community center of Muslim life. From the small neighborhood prayer room to the great architectural wonders like Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, Masjid an-Nabawi in Medina, and Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, the masjid is where Muslims gather for the five daily prayers, Friday Jumu'ah, Eid celebrations, Taraweeh in Ramadan, Quran classes, marriages, funerals, and community decisions.
The data comes from OpenStreetMap (OSM), which is maintained by a global community of volunteers and is one of the most comprehensive geographic databases in the world. Coverage is excellent in major cities and good even in rural areas — but if a mosque is missing, you can add it directly to OSM and it will appear here automatically.
No. Your geolocation stays in your browser. Only the latitude/longitude (without any identifying info) is sent to the public Overpass API to query mosque locations.
Try increasing the radius to 10 or 25 km. If still nothing, the mosques in your area may not yet be on OpenStreetMap. Anyone can add them — see openstreetmap.org.
Yes. Click any mosque pin and use the "Directions →" link which opens Google Maps with turn-by-turn navigation to that location.
